Important Notes/Explanation
-
A number in parentheses following an organization's name indicates the cumulative amount awarded to the organization during the fall semester (and before the meeting at which the organization's application was considered; remember, we can only award up to $600 total per semester to each organization).
-
If you compare awards, please remember that we take many factors into account when making our funding decisions, including our funding guidelines, the organization's need, the organization's requested amount, and the thoroughness of the application. Thus, conclusions cannot be made by comparing the awards of similar organizations from this site.
-
Finally, the "Grant with Larger Budget" column shows what we would have granted each accepted organization if the Dean's Office provided us with a larger budget. If the "Grant with Larger Budget" column exactly matches "Total Granted," than the difference between the actual award and the requested amount may be due to certain UOFC funding guidelines (such as our $50 food limit) or the organization's need for funding relative to other organizations. Please refer to your award letter for your organization's specific explanation. If, however, the "Grant with Larger Budget" column is higher than "Total Granted," the UOFC was forced to give a lower award than it wanted due to the limitations of our budget. If this is the case for your organization, we encourage you to support our efforts to convince the Yale College Dean's Office to increase our inadequate budget. |
