Weekly Update 11/15: Y-H Week, Pep Rally and Y-H Dance

This week is our first ever Yale-Harvard Week! Please join us in dressing up for the following theme days:

* Monday: Old Yale — Throwback to the good ole days - bust out your letterman sweaters, preppy shirts and blazers

* Tuesday: Residential College Spirit — Deck yourself out in your college's garb

* Wednesday: Anti-Harvard Shirts — We know Harvard sucks, so let's show it on our t-shirts

* Thursday: Navy and White — Wear Yale's colors so we have a sea of Eli pride at the Pep Rally

Weekly Update 11/1: Family Feud, TA IMs and Iron Chef Prelims

Over the past week we held our Job Shadowing and "Are You Smarter Than A Yale Professor" events. Both of these had a strong showing, and we look forward to putting on many more events throughout the next few weeks of the semester.

Weekly Update 10/25

Today we premiered the YCC’s Bike Share program at the FCC’s Freshman Olympics! There will be a YCC representative stationed in Bass Library Café from 7-9PM every day this week, so please check with this person to make a bike reservation. We will announce soon how reservations will be made in the following weeks.

Weekly Update 10/18: Bike Share, Iron Chef, Gender-Neutral Housing and More!

Bike Share will finally premere this Sunday at the FCC's Freshman BBQ (this event was delayed a week due to rain)! Look for these bikes in the near future!

We have a major secret announcement that will be sent out student-wide near the middle of this week (probably Tuesday night), so stay tuned for this!

Iron Chef applications will be due on Thursday of this week. All interested applicants should drop their forms and 40 signatures off in the marked box we have in the Berkeley Master's Office. No late applications will be accepted.

Weekly Update 10/4/09

We sent out a campus-wide email today for our Spring Fling and Athletic Rewards Committees. These are a superb way to get involved in major campus-wide activities, so we encourage you to seriously consider these positions.

Rules/Layout
There will be 2 rounds in the competition. The first round will be choreographed (weeks) beforehand by each group, the second round will be a free-style, improvisational dance.

Weekly Update 9/27/09: Spring Fling Committee App., Minors, UP, and Class Council Elections

The Spring Fling Committee application will be going out later today. This is a chance for you to get involved in this exciting process and work with top notch music talent. Please realize that this will be a major time commitment.

Our issues team has been meeting and is continuing to meet with professors to advocate for academic minors

Weekly Update: 9/20/09 (includes YCC Projects for the First Semester)

This week has been an exciting one for the YCC! We had our first project group meetings with the new representatives; for those unfamiliar with the YCC structure, the council splits into 8 project groups of about 6 people each to work on different YCC events and initiatives.
